The Farmworker Eye Network (FENet) is a unique network for health providers, health educators, outreach workers and researchers which will link them with the resources necessary to respond to the occupational dangers and other vision problems faced by Farmworkers. FENet offers those that work with Farmworkers the opportunity to network and to communicate key information on eye care and eye injury prevention.

The mission of FENet is:
  1. To increase the promotion of eye care, to Farmworkers and their families, as part of basic outreach and health care.
  2. To increase the use and availability of safety equipment to workers by promoting further research and field projects, which identify the obstacles Farmworkers encounter in using safety lenses.
  3. To encourage further development and distribution of creative and appropriate eye care educational materials for Farmworkers and their families.
  4. To catalog educational materials, publications, research and articles that address eye care for Farmworkers (including eye injury prevention, eye conditions, safety equipment and first aid for the eyes).
  5. To advocate for the needs of Farmworkers, by developing preliminary surveys on eye care issues.
